The Ngöndro practice initially only requires a transmission from a qualified Lama. You should hold the intention to receive the empowerment as soon as possible. In addition, if you are a member of KPC Jetsunma requires her students to have accumulated at least 10,000 Seven Line Prayers in order to strengthen your connection with the practice, followed by a letter to her requesting to practice the Ngöndro.
The book is available in two sizes: 8.5"x11" and 6"x9". In both of these sizes they are also available in both a spiral-bound printed book and as a downloadable PDF file so you can print it yourself. The 6"x9" size has margins such that the PDF pages can be cropped to fit in a 5.5" x 8.5" binder. One printing note from our experience is that if you want to print the 6”x9” PDF file double-sided, cut your paper to a 6" width before you put it in the printer. Then when you print the back side, both sides will fit on the paper (the margins will line up). You can trim the pages afterwards to the 5 1/2" size if you like.

The Nam Chö Ngöndro Practice
The Nam Chö Ngöndro Practice is the preliminary practice that when completed, removes many of the basic obscurations of body speech and mind and prepares the way to begin more advanced practices. It contains the basic practices of Refuge, Bodhicitta, Mandala, Vajrasattva, and Guru Yoga, and is part of the Nam Chö terma cycle revealed by Terton Migyur Dorje.
