If you are unfamiliar with Buddhism and would like to learn more, we offer introductory teachings from several teachers. ________________________________________________________
Jetsunma is the first Western woman to have been recognized and enthroned by Tibetan lamas as a tulku, an enlightened teacher who reincarnates in whatever form can most benefit all beings. From childhood, Jetsunma has devoted herself to meditation and the alleviation of the world's suffering. Her students will tell you that she is a wise, witty, and compassionate teacher who draws on her own experiences as a modern American woman in making accessible to them even the most profound Buddhist teachings.
Jetsunma’s teachings can be can be found on the Meeting and Entering the Path page on this site.

Teachings by Khenpo Tenzen Norgey
Khenpo Tenzin Norgey was born in Bhutan and like Khenchen Tsewang Gyatso Rinpoche, was trained at Ngagyur Nyingma Institute in the Palyul lineage. In 1998, he was formally bestowed the title of Khenpo by His Holiness Penor Rinpoche. Because of his knowledge and fluent command of the English language, as well as his warmth and sense of humor, Khenpo has touched the hearts of many Western students. Also because of this, His Holiness Penor Rinpoche asked Khenpo Tenzin Norgey to live in the U.S. and teach the Dharma to Western students.
Khenpo Tenzin Norgey’s teachings can be found on the Meeting and Entering the Path page on this web site.

Teachings by Senior Students of Jetsunma Ahkön Lhamo
At KPC, we often have general classes on a variety of topics offered by long time students of Jetsunma's. Some of the more popular classes are included here.
Thubten Konchog Norbu has been a gelong monk for many years and has taken Shedra (University) teachings from Khenchen Tsewang Gyatso at KPC. He is a scholar of incisive wit and humor. His "Birth of the BuddhaDharma" series was attended more than once by those who heard it. Currently you can enjoy his stories of life in Mongolia on his blog: http://danzanravjaa.typepad.com/my_weblog/
Jane Middleton taught a class on foundational Buddhist thought that brought together the basics of Buddhism in an easily approachable way. It became an ongoing series for many years, prompting one of our monks, Thubten Rinchen Palzang, to transcribe and edit it as a book.
We hope these will fill out a basic understanding of Buddhist concepts and will be enjoyable as well. Click here for the introductory teachings on Buddhism by these senior students.
