Dragmar Tulku Rinpoche was recognized by His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche and His Holiness Pema Norbu (Penor) Rinpoche, as the authentic incarnation of the fifth Dragmar Tulku and the 13th Throneholder of the Dragmar Monastery at the age of six. When he reached the age of nine, he went to Namdroling Monastery and was taught by His Holiness Penor Rinpoche who formally enthroned him at the age of ten. For nine years he studied in His Holiness' Ngyagyur Nyingma Institute and at twenty-four he received full ordination from His Holiness Penor Rinpoche, who has always showered him with love and affection and considered him as a heart son.
In view of his vast and profound scriptural knowledge, he was appointed as a kyorpon (revision teacher) at the Ngagyur Nyingma Institute, and subsequently became a lopon (acharya). He has traveled abroad with His Holiness Penor Rinpoche and is praised for his clear and detailed instructions of practices to Dharma students.
At present he is a teacher in the Ngyagyur Nyingma Institute and is also taking responsibility to renovate and improve the condition of the Dragmar Wangchen Monastery in Tibet. Teachings from a Rinpoche such as this are a rare and precious jewel!
Dragmar Tulku Rinpoche’s teachings can be found on the Stabilizing the Mind and Meditation, and Vajrayana Practices page on this web site.
